Fender Mustang with flat wounds DI into my Clarett 4Pre Incorporated a riff the bass player uses in the live performance because I think it's neat! Layered compression, saturation and a high-pass from about 100hz with a boost between 300hz-800hz slight low-pass from 1.5k

Fender Mustang D.I. into my Focusrite Clarett 4pre. Minimal EQ and tons of compression. Multiband compressor to scoop out below 150Hz on the original recording to allow more of my bass to come through

My guitars are currently being worked on so I figured I would post a bass video. If you all could take a minute to think about George Floyd and the countless other black lives that have been taken at the hands of the United States Police. I urge you to consider donating to some non-profits since I cannot monetize my videos I will use my platform to try to educate others. Here are some links: ww...

Probably my favorite Smiths song When I uploaded the video a few years ago the quality was horrible and I didn't play it correctly; this is a bit closer to what my ears can hear.

This was such a long cover that the audio/video kept getting out of sync.. I tried my best to make it somewhat tangible but it's not perfect by any stretch; though you get the point. Rickenbacker 330 into 80's Roland JC-120 with one speaker output to my bass amp for stereo chorus. Pedals: Mooer Ana-Echo/// Jekyll & Hyde ultimate overdrive Treble middle and bass all around 3/10 (High output) Rev...

Magnificent bassline!
Brilliant, thank you
My guitar 🎸 ♥️
just clocked this, brilliantly done mate
Great to see some orange juice being covered and played. Edwyn Collins is underated in my opinion
Great choice.
😍 🤩 👌 😘 😊 beautiful. I'll probably replay the end over and over
Me encantó ❤
Nice job! Standard tuning?
Amazing.
that toneeeee😮💨😮💨😮💨💨
Good job at 2:38 sounds really awesome!❤
Incredible. You must be the son of Johnny Marr. Please, please, please show us how to play this....
Beautiful song, Definitely feels like Morrissey and Marr attempting to recreate the sound of the sixties girl groups they loved. No surprise that Sandie Shaw covered it with the Smiths. Upsetting to read that Morrissey “shudders” at hearing it these days.
Johnny, why you hiding your head, mate??
because i’m not singing and you’re (hopefully) not here to look at my face while i play guitar
What guitar is this :)
I thought is was my son playing. You look just like him.
looks like a johnny marr cosplay but with skills to back it
1.25x speed for the best experience you've been looking for
i'm in love with this cover and the way you dance while playing, shows you really enjoy what you're doing, and your enthusiasm is contagious<3 really cool and thank you for posting this, made me wanna pick up bass someday ahah
Could you do a tutorial of this, please? It’s awesome…
Great cover man! Did you play it in standard tuning?
wow really good!
Wow, I absolutely adore your style and your playing skills!!!!!!!! You have very good taste in music. I hadnt noticed that bass in the song at all, tbh (sorry for my poor language, english is not my mother one)
great try! I might say to relax your hand so it switches between noes and chords in a bit more of a looser manner.
I thought I could play this one pretty well, but you've me shown how to make it even more slinky cool. Thank you 👍
cleaners from venus, a man of good taste
Not even Johnny Marr can play like Johnny Marr
good amount of moving around happening here
what are you doing moving around too much in a bass video this is way too much moving around for a bass video, for a bass video
you should smell my belly button grandolf
We need more.
😍😍😍😍
Tyyyy
Excellent
Thanks Tyler and Jon-Patrick....had a good laugh
Glad someone can have a laugh !
Nice auto tune!
just like they used to !
Ringo getting it on those bongos
i can relate to this as well.
This can’t be real? 😂
Incredible!
Nice very nice
I LOVE THIS my dream is for a rickenbacker
nice
Great job … where did u find the tabs??? And also what’s the tunning
no tabs - just listening i know it’s standard tuning but slightly pitched up sort of in between F# and G standard (taking the capo into consideration)
@@scottjpats if in use the Capo wjat would be the tuning and what fret would the capo be I seen a lot on 2nd fret but what about tuning? … btw that ms awesome u figured the song out by 👂 ear
@@rogelioybarra4068 Capo second fret standard tuning but pitched up slightly idk if this was in the recording itself or an artifact of speeding up the tape intentionally to achieve a higher pitch
The sound of Smiths 🤟
Wicked playing, loving the guitar too
Hi Scott Good choice Bowie's favorite song. Good work
oh my god
awesome song!! i hate to ask a question unrelated to the music, but right now im in love wtih marr's tone and have stumbled upon a late 70's/early 80s jc-120 for sale ridiculously cheap. Ive watched your smiths covers forever and noticed you played one too. Was this amp too loud for bedroom use? Thats really the only thing holding me up from pulling the trigger on it. Thanks!
I mean honestly JC-120’s are great they’re just too big for me; i’m 26 and already have back issues. That being said - they’re solid state so they aren’t going to really change much in tone if you’re playing quiet vs loud. The old ones are finicky: you have to play at a certain volume for the chorus/vibrato to register (at least i had to with mine) I got rid of my JC I miss it but ive always loved Fender Twins and have that on casters. If you want the JC and it’s under 600~ go for it, but don’t pay a stupid amount of money for one.
